Well Happy New Year everyone. I hope everyones 2011 was amazing. Mine was pretty great. All the best to you all for 2012!!!! Make this year count!

I’m in my last semester of school now. It’s been fun Multimedia, but I am so over you now. LOL I’m ready to go out and find a real job and get paid to do this stuff! This last year has been very tough for me. 3 years is enough of this. I’m fortunate enough that this semester is all project based. I have already got all my projects for the rest of the year. I don’t even have to attend classes… well only a few… and to check-in if I have any questions or need to work at school.

Today I registered for a Adobe Illustrator course. It’s a #2 Illustrator course, and I don’t have the right prerequisite, but I took a Digital Illustration course already that focused on Illustrator. So BIG DEAL, I’m sure I’ll know what the instructor is teaching. I really wish I could’ve took another Flash course though, but it isn’t offered in this term. I may take that in the summer. Who knows..

Anyway, this weekend I’m visiting Laurie in Montreal. It should be fun! We haven’t seen each other in over a year! Which is not like us.. I remember one year we saw each other 4x LOL – dunno how that happened.

Back to school

I went back to school last week. 2nd year! I can’t believe it’s already been a year since I’ve been back in school. Where does the time go? I can already tell that this year is going to be a hard one for me. There’s so much programming in this semester, I already want to pull out my hair. We are learning 3D basics too, and I’ve never touched Maya before and am already so confused about it. My teacher for that class also isn’t very helpful. He tells us that he hasn’t used Maya in a couple of years. Then why the fuck is he teaching it? BOOOO!

My trip to Vegas a few weeks ago was pretty amazing too. Same old Vegas routine though. Lots of scmoozing, NOT as much crazy shit like all the times I’ve been before… over all great trip. Las Vegas never disappoints me. I want to plan another trip.. maybe for winter or spring break. I’ve never been anywhere all-inclusive.. so I think that will have to be it. I’m thinking Mexico…

I went to an orientation for college today with my dad. It all went really well. We asked questions about the program, saw students work and portfolios, and went on a school tour. Pretty full day even though it was only for 2 hours. I loved everything I saw. The program I’m taking you get use of your own laptop, which is a Macbook Pro btw ;) … There are no exams *Thumbs up* The program is all about projects, etc.. You learn everything media based basically. Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, Web Design, Graphic Design.. etc. Looks like a good program. There is a placement at the end, so you get a bit of experience in the end at a company too. At the school it includes a bus pass within Durham (where I am), and gym membership Sounds like a pretty sweet deal. HAHA & when I was at the school I saw a bunch of people I already know and some of my friends are taking a new program in the fall too. I’ll have some people I already know going to school. BONUS! ;P

Anyway, I went to Kingston on the 6th for Andrea‘s Bday. I had a really great time. Lots of partying!! My fave. HAHA. It’s always good to get away from the normal. I love to travel so much. I’m planning on going back next week. So more fun to come! I can’t wait. This time, no crazy partying drinking… I think at least ;) Planning on seeing Knowing. I love Nicolas Cage! His movies never disappoint me.

Last week I got a new laptop! :D I got this one from Best Buy it was on sale then. I picked it up last Thursday night. I’m pretty happy with it. It runs perfectly, so smooth and quick. I never thought I’d love a PC again. HAHAHAHA… I do miss my Mac OS though. oh well, soon September will come and I can use it again. har har. Laptops are so convenient, love it. I’m not use to the webcam though. Sometimes I get freaked out that someone can see me. I’ve always had my webcam disconnected on my desktop, that’s just me being paranoid. A few weeks ago they had a episode on CSI (with Diddy btw) and they could access a stolen laptops webcam remotely.. that was freaky HAHA I know that’s all Hollywood though ;)

IN MAY I am planning a trip to see Laurie in Montreal!!!!!! At the end of the month for her birthday. I haven’t seen her in a while. Like 2 years maybe? I forget. So I’m pretty stoked about that. Should be fun!!!
