Long time.

It seems that every time I update, months have passed and there always is a new available version of Word Press. Heh.

My summer has been pretty amazing so far. I’ve done a lot this year, trips and such. Summer’s not over yet either :) Let’s see; June: Saw NIN and New Kids on the Block. July:  BBQ’s, Parties, Kingston, Camping in Parry Sound. August: Caribana boat cruise, B-Days, Camping in Montreal, Darien Lake (w/ Blink concert).

I love summer!! September is coming up quick! I’m going back to school. HAHA, that shall be an interesting experience lol. I’m pretty excited for it. I haven’t been in school in 4 years! My classes are all registered, I got (some)books, parking pass… My classes are pretty good. I only have 1 8AM class and my days are pretty short too. Latest I have to be at school is 6pm. *thumbs up*

Right now I’m organizing a trip to Las Vegas. I know, surprise surprise ;) I’m thinking about going October 29th until November 2nd :) FOR HALLOWEEN! I’ve only been to Vegas during summer months..  and those dates are just after my birthday. The big 2-5!!!  So I thought it would be pretty amazing to celebrate in Vegas. I hope this will happen!! I’ve been going through withdrawals ! HAHA It’s almost been a year since I went last! :O LOL

New things

I went to an orientation for college today with my dad. It all went really well. We asked questions about the program, saw students work and portfolios, and went on a school tour. Pretty full day even though it was only for 2 hours. I loved everything I saw.  The program I’m taking you get use of your own laptop, which is a Macbook Pro btw ;) … There are no exams *Thumbs up* The program is all about projects, etc..  You learn everything media based basically. Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, Web Design, Graphic Design.. etc. Looks like a good program. There is a placement at the end, so you get a bit of experience in the end at a company too. At the school it includes a bus pass within Durham (where I am), and gym membership :) Sounds like a pretty sweet deal. HAHA & when I was at the school I saw a bunch of people I already know and some of my friends are taking a new program in the fall too. I’ll have some people I already know going to school.  BONUS! :) ;P

Anyway, I went to Kingston on the 6th for Andrea‘s Bday. I had a really great time. Lots of partying!! My fave. HAHA. It’s always good to get away from the normal. I love to travel so much. I’m planning on going back next week. So more fun to come! I can’t wait. This time, no crazy partying drinking… I think at least ;) Planning on seeing Knowing. I love Nicolas Cage! His movies never disappoint me.

Last week I got a new laptop! :D :D I got this one from Best Buy it was on sale then. I picked it up last Thursday night. I’m pretty happy with it. It runs perfectly, so smooth and quick. I never thought I’d love a PC again. HAHAHAHA… I do miss my Mac OS though. :( oh well, soon September will come and I can use it again. har har. Laptops are so convenient,  love it. I’m not use to the webcam though. Sometimes I get freaked out that someone can see me. I’ve always had my webcam disconnected on my desktop, that’s just me being paranoid. A few weeks ago they had a episode on CSI (with Diddy btw) and they could access a stolen laptops webcam remotely.. that was freaky HAHA I know that’s all Hollywood though ;)

IN MAY I am planning a trip to see Laurie in Montreal!!!!!! At the end of the month for her birthday. I haven’t seen her in a while. Like 2 years maybe? I forget. So I’m pretty stoked about that. Should be fun!!!

Umm, and I dunno what else…. ttyl

Colleges

Monday, March 2nd, 2009

Well I had my ‘drawing test’ for one the the programs that I applied to. It was tough! There were 6 pages, first two pages of questions and the rest was all drawing. You had to draw a story board of whatever you wanted, 2 designs for a company, logos (x4) and then there was a free page where you drew whatever you wanted. It was definitely NOT what I expected. I’ve applied to a similar program at the same college, and they didn’t make you do THAT much drawing. :( I like drawing on the computer than in hand. I’ve kinda lost my sketching ability. I should practice LOL

BUT other news, I got into my 1st choice!  So I didn’t really have to take that test, but I wanted to keep my options open and have different choices. My tuition for the 1st year is $5,000.. :( So I gotta start saving. I am kinda depending on getting a OSAP loan. I don’t think I will be able to save up that much for July/Aug? :/ *Keeps fingers crossed*

This weekend I’m going up to Kingston for Andrea’s Birthday!! I’m really looking forward to it! Anywhere is better than where I am.. HAHA I am hoping that we don’t have a snowstorm on the night I have to drive up. Last year that’s what happened, and I was so sad. I’m praying that something like that doesn’t happen.

Kitten

Kitten!!

I got a kitten! :D He’s so full of love and is so cute! I’m currently up in the air for names. He was named Tigger, but I think that’s just a cop-out name LOL and I don’t really like Whinny The Pooh. :/ I really like when animals are named real human names.. So I was thinking Harrold. HAHA Harry for short. What do ya think?

He’s my first real pet. LOL I’ve never had cats & dogs before. It’s quite the experience. He never lets me sleep when I want to. I have to get use to his claws, they hurt like hell when he plays. :/ I would never de-claw.. it just seems so inhumane. How hard is it to trim claws? Does everyone do that?

Other than getting a kitten, I’ve been up to not much of anything. Still reading my books. Almost finished the entire Shopaholic series. I have a few more chapters left that I will finish today sometime. I’ve bought the rest of Sophie Kinsella’s books that I didn’t have, The Undomestic Goddess and Can You Keep A Secret? I’ve heard they are really good. :D I bought a few more 80% books from Chapters yesterday after work. So that should hold me over for at least a month. LOL

Today I’m going downtown shopping and then clubbing at Reign Nightclub for Melissa’s Birthday. We are getting a booth and bottles, so that should be pretty fun. The DJ(s) who are there tonight are the same ones from Circa Saturdays. So I know I’ll be having a great time. I hope my fave guy is there and I don’t make an ass out of myself like last time. rofl… Saturday is a bachelorette party at Circa Nightclub. I’m happy they chose to go there. It’s always so much fun there. I haven’t been since New Years Eve! :P

I’m giving Reign another shot tonight. I went last Saturday, and they made us line up for 30 minutes even though I put us on Guestlist, in the -20 degree weather. AND they only gave us 1 free pass. There were 3 of us there. Also they advertised that it would be 90′s music all night, which is why I went, BUT they didn’t not play all 90′s. Most of it was current. I was pretty pissed about that. OH and cover was $20… and the place was tiny. 2 floors and pretty rammed. I would’ve went to Circa if I knew my guests had to pay that… drink prices were okay, $6 .. which is good for downtown Toronto….

Well  I gotta shower and pack up my things for tonight. Have a good weekend!!!

Weekend

Monday, October 27th, 2008

So lots of plans changed with my birthday. We never ended up getting a hotel room, because that weekend was a blackout date. No discount could be used :/ I was kinda disappointed in that, but I dealt with it. It was me, Melissa and Kristina that went out. It was fun for the most part. We ended up taking the train down, and walking to Circa from Union Station. It was a 10-15min walk there, and we brought walking shoes too .. HAHA. Circa was not a disappointment, it never is.. for me at least. We stayed in the Blue Room (Skyy Lounge), only because I love the music in that room. The rest of the club is pretty amazing, but I’ve seen it all… and I got to choose since it was my bday. hehe.

On Sunday, my dad took me out for lunch at Fire and Ice. It was really yummy! You got to choose your own Vegetables, noodles and sauce. Then the chef stir-fries it for you with your choice of protein (meat). It was delicious!! I loved it. Afterwards we ate our traditional cake. It’s like a family tradition to have a birthday cake every year. But it really made me sad though that it was just my dad and I. I wish my mom was still here. When it came time to blow out my candles, it made me think of her. My wishes for the past 9 years have always been for my mom. Wish for her to get better, wish for her cancer not to come back, etc. This year I had to hold back my tears thinking about that moment. Especially thinking about last year, we had to celebrate it in the bedroom because at that point she could no longer walk down the stairs. :( The anniversary of her death is just a bit over a month away. I don’t know what is going to happen then..

Lately I’ve been really down, the past week, and present. A lot of shit has been going on that I’m having a hard time dealing with. Nothing that I wish to discuss in detail, but I don’t know what I’m going to do about it. I’m seriously considering therapy or something along the lines of that. I have been having really bad thoughts every night, while I’m working, and when I’m by myself. Every day it feels like it’s becoming harder and harder. I try to hid it from everyone but that isn’t going to help it. *sigh. I don’t know anymore …
