A few things new since I last updated. I applied to school, so if all goes well, I will be a student again in the fall!
I’ve been accepted to one of my choices (3rd). Now I’m just waiting on my first choice, the school which is the closest to me (20 min drive away). *Keeps my fingers crossed* A few of my friends are going to school in the fall too, so we were thinking about getting a house together. LOL … but that’s still in the works. I don’t actually think it will happen. haha.
I have another opportunity to go to Las Vegas again next month. A friend of mine is going at the end of March for the weekend, it’s so tempting!!! I really want to go for longer than that though. There’s still so many things that I haven’t seen yet! Like go to a strip club, see a wedding chapel, shows, see the outlets, Fremont St…the grand canyon. etc… & I’ve seen some deals on car rentals and they are SO CHEAP!! ..except I’m not 25 yet
So I don’t know how that will work… BUT I am going for sure at the end of August again for my friend’s 21st birthday, so maybe I should wait until then. :/ *SIGH.. I don’t think I can wait THAT long! LOL

First off, I just wanna say if you’re ever downtown Toronto wanting to go clubbing, don’t go to Reign Nightclub. I had another bad experience there last Saturday.
So we had reserved a booth and bottle service at the club for my friend Melissa’s birthday. When we got to the club, the bouncer/guy with the list said we weren’t on it. My first reaction was .. what the fuck ? We made the arrangements weeks in advance!! The guy continued to tell us we did not. This was while we were waiting out in the arctic temperature outside. It went on for about 10 minutes. Lucky thing the girl who arranged everything (my friends sister) remembered the guys name she had been talking to on the phone. Well the guy remembered, and he had booked us for the weekend after. I really don’t see how you can confuse the dates. It’s January 30th.. next week is a whole different month! You can’t confuse January and February. :/ He talked to someone and he finally let us in. Another peeve of mine was the carpet at the door was wet with slush and was on a slant. All of us were clearly slipping, and the 3 guys standing at the door didn’t even bother to help us. Luckily none of us slipped.
Good thing was we all got in for free. Bottles were $100 + tax and 19% Gratuity. So the bill came to $280? Not bad for downtown. The host was fun and energetic. AND pretty hot. But she kept making us drink like 3/4 full drinks of alcohol. LOL We suspected that she didn’t want us to stay at the booth for long. BUT we did! HAHA for them.
Music was great as always. 4 Korners were DJing and they’re always good.
By the end of the night we all had fun. We were all pretty sloshed, and all was well at the end.

Kitten!!
I got a kitten!
He’s so full of love and is so cute! I’m currently up in the air for names. He was named Tigger, but I think that’s just a cop-out name LOL and I don’t really like Whinny The Pooh. :/ I really like when animals are named real human names.. So I was thinking Harrold. HAHA Harry for short. What do ya think?
He’s my first real pet. LOL I’ve never had cats & dogs before. It’s quite the experience. He never lets me sleep when I want to. I have to get use to his claws, they hurt like hell when he plays. :/ I would never de-claw.. it just seems so inhumane. How hard is it to trim claws? Does everyone do that?
Other than getting a kitten, I’ve been up to not much of anything. Still reading my books. Almost finished the entire Shopaholic series. I have a few more chapters left that I will finish today sometime. I’ve bought the rest of Sophie Kinsella’s books that I didn’t have, The Undomestic Goddess and Can You Keep A Secret? I’ve heard they are really good.
I bought a few more 80% books from Chapters yesterday after work. So that should hold me over for at least a month. LOL
Today I’m going downtown shopping and then clubbing at Reign Nightclub for Melissa’s Birthday. We are getting a booth and bottles, so that should be pretty fun. The DJ(s) who are there tonight are the same ones from Circa Saturdays. So I know I’ll be having a great time. I hope my fave guy is there and I don’t make an ass out of myself like last time. rofl… Saturday is a bachelorette party at Circa Nightclub. I’m happy they chose to go there. It’s always so much fun there. I haven’t been since New Years Eve!
I’m giving Reign another shot tonight. I went last Saturday, and they made us line up for 30 minutes even though I put us on Guestlist, in the -20 degree weather. AND they only gave us 1 free pass. There were 3 of us there. Also they advertised that it would be 90′s music all night, which is why I went, BUT they didn’t not play all 90′s. Most of it was current. I was pretty pissed about that. OH and cover was $20… and the place was tiny. 2 floors and pretty rammed. I would’ve went to Circa if I knew my guests had to pay that… drink prices were okay, $6 .. which is good for downtown Toronto….
Well I gotta shower and pack up my things for tonight. Have a good weekend!!!

This month so far has been uneventful. I’ve been working less hours, and have tons of free time. I’ve finished 5 books already and it’s only the middle of the month. LOL. I’ve been reading a lot of Chick Lit books by Sophie Kinsella. On Monday I bought 4 of her Shopaholic books. I have been obsessed with the series ever since I started the first one earlier this month. They’re really easy to get into, even if you’re not the type of person who reads. Like me. HAHA, never thought the day would come when I would choose reading over going out to the bar/club. It has given me some sort of peace in my life.
TV has taken over my life too. I’ve been obsessed with everything on the Discovery Channel. ESPECIALLY Dirty Jobs. Oh man, that show is fucking hilarious. Been watching CSI at least 4 times a day too. I like that it is on so much after I get home from work. It’s relaxing. Speaking of CSI, tomorrow/today (Thurs 15th) is Grissoms last day!! I’m definitely tuning into it tonight.
Monday I also picked up a classic Wii remote controller. I’m playing The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. A classic. It’s still fun to play even after all these years. By far one of the best classic games out there.
Sunday I ended up getting my new iPods. LOVE. It pretty much made my whole week. To answer the questions I got on my previous entry asking why do I have 2 iPods. It’s because I originally upgraded to the 160GB because my library wont fit on any smaller iPods. I have an obsession with music, and can’t bear not having it ALL with me. I had a nano as well because I got it for only $50 from a friend, and thought it was worth snatching that deal. I use the nano mainly for the gym. I would rather not bring the Classic iPod there because I fear ruining it. LOL ….. hope that answers the question.
BTW Gelaskins are amazing!!! I ordered a few earlier this week, and they came in today. I posted them on my flickr account. So check them out!! I’m pleased with the way they turned out. This one was my first iPod with Gelaskins a year ago or so.
I love their designs. They are just so unique.

New Years was ok. Partying in the hotel, and at Circa. It was a pretty crazy night. There were so many people there, we ended up loosing a lot of people. Most of the night was spent going to room to room trying to find our friends. :/ I guess that’s something that always happens when you go all fancy at a busy place. I remember that happening to me a few years ago at the Liberty Grand. That was an awful night. HAHA. BUT the worse part of my new years was when I woke up. Someone at the hotel pulled the fire alarm at 9am. So for an hour the alarm was blasting in our room, with the same guy announcing they were looking into it.
I lied. That wasn’t the worse. Worse part was waking up again to go to the washroom, and finding that in the garbage was my case, empty, that was filled with my 2 iPods. Yeah someone stole my iPods (160GB Classic & 8GB Nano). Let’s say that just really pissed me off. They were stolen while I was asleep in the hotel room. Friends of Friends were in our room. People I didn’t know. So there is no way I can find out who stole them. I am shit out of luck. Yeah, happy fucking new years. I am just very thankful that I didn’t have my camera or my BlackBerry in my purse. Or those would’ve definitely been stolen. Oh yeah, they also stole the change from my wallet. Left my credit cards. They left my wallet in the cupboard underneath the sink in the room. People. I’ve been cursing them, praying to the gods above that they will get what’s coming to them. AND hey. That has worked before. Gods are in my favor. Karma IS really a bitch. *SIGH. On to a more happy note, I am getting my new iPods (120GB classic [i am so mad they downgraded the space!!] & 8GB nano) tomorrow from my savior. The only guy I know who can hook me up with electronics
HAHA I will know for next time NEVER to bring them anywhere with people I can’t trust.
New years resolutions? What are yours? I know every year, EVERYONE says they want to lose weight, get fit, eat healthy. I’m thinking that might be mine. HAHA.. well I think I am gonna try to get onto my workout habits. I haven’t been to the gym in almost a month!! I kind of make excuses to not go. Like if I’ve worked all day, and am tired. OR if I don’t want to drive out. It’s terrible! I just wish I had someone to go with who was motivated enough to come with me every time I want to go. Any takers?
Wishing everyone the best in 2009! EXCITED for what comes this year!
