I’m in my last semester of school now. It’s been fun Multimedia, but I am so over you now. LOL I’m ready to go out and find a real job and get paid to do this stuff! This last year has been very tough for me. 3 years is enough of this. I’m fortunate enough that this semester is all project based. I have already got all my projects for the rest of the year. I don’t even have to attend classes… well only a few… and to check-in if I have any questions or need to work at school.

Today I registered for a Adobe Illustrator course. It’s a #2 Illustrator course, and I don’t have the right prerequisite, but I took a Digital Illustration course already that focused on Illustrator. So BIG DEAL, I’m sure I’ll know what the instructor is teaching. I really wish I could’ve took another Flash course though, but it isn’t offered in this term. I may take that in the summer. Who knows..

Anyway, this weekend I’m visiting Laurie in Montreal. It should be fun! We haven’t seen each other in over a year! Which is not like us.. I remember one year we saw each other 4x LOL – dunno how that happened.

Dad ended up spoiling all of us. Allie and I got iPads! I also got a Tassimo, MW3, Zelda Skyward Sword, 7th Season of Entourage, fluffy blankets, and hello kitty items from my dad too. My brother Mike and his fiancée Allie got me 8GB of RAM for my laptop and a water fountain for Harry. My brother Matt got me a hello kitty house key and a pimp cup that says sexy bitch LOL – his girlfriend got me $25 for the LCBO too.

I got so much, I can’t complain at all. Christmas dinner was good too of course ;)

After having 2 days off, I gotta go back to work tomorrow. Only a 3 day work week, so it’s not too bad…. I gotta work on new years eve though… Sucks.. Oh well…

I go back to school on January 4th…. My last semester of my Multimedia program…

Happy birthday to me!

Today I turned 27 years old! WOW. Time really flys by… I don’t even feel my age .. OR should I say… ACT my age

At this age, my parents were married for 1 year, in their own house… my mom was expecting her first child – I can’t even imagine being in that position in my life right now.

I guess in my generation things go a lot slower. Though most of my friends are living on my own. There is only a select few that are actually married and living in their own houses. None with children yet.

Sometimes I do get a little worried that my life wont be how I originally wanted it to be, but I try not to think about it in details. I like to believe that these opportunities will still arise in my life and I’ll get back onto the “family” goal aspirations I have for the future.

Enough about the seriousness. So far my birthday has been pretty good, I can’t complain too much 

Over the weekend I celebrated with family and friends. My dad took the whole family out for sushi lunch. MMM! and afterwards we celebrated with cake of course (as seen from the above photo). Later on, I went out with all my girls and we went out dancing. It was so much fun. We danced the night away at The Devil’s Martini – Had a good time, drinks were fairly cheap.. and thanks to all my friends, I didn’t have to spend a thing <3

Though after I woke up (after the storm) – I felt really sick…. not a “hangover” kind of sick.. Actually SICK and still am. I’ve been fighting off a flu-like illness.. I missed Monday & Tuesday’s classes.. I finally made it back today — still really sick. I might have to cancel my birthday dinner with the girls again tonight OH WELL — Can’t complain much. I don’t get sick often. I guess it’s just my time. heh

I’ve been very busy with school and work. Life is a bit overwhelming at the moment, lots of projects due, teaching myself crap.. and failing.. It’s stressing me out. Last week I just about cried every day of the week, it was horrible. I contemplated some terrible ideas in my head.. which I will not discuss. I had a major breakdown – and visited my moms grave for some guidance. It was pretty intense. I feel awful just thinking about it again. I got over what I was dealing with – it was me failing on php – and I’m thankfully back to normal now.

My birthday is coming up quick. I’m going downtown clubbing this time. I haven’t done the Toronto clubbing scene thing in a while.  I felt like it was greatly needed. LOL I’ve decided on a 25 and over bar. Though half of my party is under 25, I’m sure the club wont decline a bunch of pretty girls .. ya know? .. well I hope! OR there’s always somewhere else. I decided on the 25+ place because I am so sick of touchy guys at the club thinking they can just come up behind you and rub their junk on your ass/back. I’m over that part of my life. The bars/clubs around my area are usually filled with 19 year olds that always manage to disappoint me.. I’m too old to go out in my area. LOL

WHAT AM I EXCITED ABOUT???? LAS VEGAS AND CALIFORNIA! Yes that’s what! Planning a girls trip for the beginning of May. I can’t fucking wait! I will be finished my 2nd year at school, needing a break from the work-weather:snow-business.. ya know. Is it sad that when I mention a trip to my friends, they all know it’s probably to Vegas? I now just look at them when they ask – and they know. LOL – SHUT UP, I love Las Vegas with all of my heart – I will always come back for more and more! So the trip, we are going to Vegas and then halfway we’re renting a car and driving to California. Visiting LA – hitting every beach we can. This trip will be EPIC. (I don’t normally use that word, but I see it fit for this) ;)

OH and btw, I would like to share what I’ve done with my nails this week.

How was everyone’s new years? Mine was great. My friends Shaun & Heather had a new years-house warming party, everyone pretty much came. Always a good thing to see everyone all at once I think I behaved myself, but who knows lol – did drink a little too much wine. That put me over. Ah well. I’m over it ;)

Does anyone have any new years resolutions? I have one: Not to drink so much. Lately whenever I get out, which is not that often anymore – I always drink well over what I should, and never remember what happened for half the night. It feels like it has taken a toll on my body and I’m realizing this now. Also, I should NOT be acting like a 19 year old! So this year I plan on stopping binge-drinking and acting my age when I go out! LOL

School is starting back up on Wednesday! AH, I’m half way done my program! I’ve managed to pass all my classes so far, even while bombing my Javascript final test last semester. I’m really looking forward to what kinds of things we will be working on this semester

1 more week left of this semester. I can’t fucking wait! Massive amounts of stress and sleepless nights are really getting to me. I can see it in my face every morning. I don’t like it. Women really do need their beauty sleep. My skin is taking a toll. We picked our winter schedule on Monday and my classes are as follows: DESIGN IV – DIGITAL ART, INTERACTIVE CONTENT DESIGN II, NEW MEDIA DESIGN and ANIMATION II, PORTFOLIO, SERVER-SIDE SCRIPTING & WEB DEVELOPMENT. There are so many programming courses I have to take. FML! I hope I can do it. This past semester I’ve been struggling by, I’ve lost all my motivation to do assignments. I just want it all to be over.

Oh well, I really need a vacation! I might plan a trip for May, when school is done with for the year.

OH! one thing that I’m pretty happy with is that I got a bursary from my college.

My trip to Vegas a few weeks ago was pretty amazing too. Same old Vegas routine though. Lots of scmoozing, NOT as much crazy shit like all the times I’ve been before… over all great trip. Las Vegas never disappoints me. I want to plan another trip.. maybe for winter or spring break. I’ve never been anywhere all-inclusive.. so I think that will have to be it. I’m thinking Mexico…

I’m back to working full time at work now, since it’s the gardening season again Life has been pretty hectic, but I can handle it knowing in the end I’ll be getting what I want. I can sacrifice some things, like being social and sleep. LOL

What’s coming up for the summer? I’m doing a Hike for Hospice with my family. So if anyone wants to donate money, let me know Going to New Kids on the Block  on June 11th and 12th at Casino Rama. Wedding on June 19th … and Seeing Rihanna August 5th as well. Summer shall be good. I really want to see Lady Gaga and Bon Jovi… but we’ll see about that later.. Tickets are ridiculously expensive!!!

Also at the end of May, I’m going to Niagara Falls for my girls bachelorette party. It’s going to be NUTS! We’re going to a male stripclub I’ve been to many stripclubs before, but always girls… I’m kind of scared to see what these men will be doing. HAHA But I know it’s going to be crazy. Ah ahahaha.

I still don’t remember my password to log onto my website or FTP.. so I’m stuck with this damn layout. Oh welly

What’s new with me since I last update? Well since I last update, it was NOVEMBER! It is now January 2010! Been a while! ;)

School: First semester went well. I ended up pretty much acing most of my classes, ended up with a 4.0 GPA and on the honor roll. Go me! pfft… no, but really.. that has never happened to me before. The last time I was “smart” was when I was in grade 2.. in 1992! HAHAHAHAHA  Even in the family, good grades only happened to my oldest of brothers. My other brother and I were the … underachievers or just lazy. heh

Christmas was okay. I’ve never really gotten into the holiday season since my mom died 2 years ago. Since she passed in December, it’s very hard for my family and I to celebrate. So we just had a low-key Christmas, exchanged gifts with the immediate family, and had a nice dinner.

I also went on holiday the last week of December! Went to Vancouver with Laur to visit Kiki!!! We had a blast! BC is so much different than anywhere on the East Coast. It’s so beautiful! As soon as the pilot announced that we were landing soon, we checked out the window.. and I was in AWE. The MOUNTAINS! My gosh. I don’t remember seeing mountains quite like it. So pretty! It is also insanely clean on the streets of Vancouver. EVERYWHERE. No garbage, no smellyness… It’s so different than Toronto. I would love to move there, if I had the money to.. and a got a job there. New years was good, we all dressed up and partyed at Kira’s place. It was fun.

Semester 2 started up this week. I’ve only had 3 classes out of the 6.. but it seems to be going well. I have a lot of fun classes to look forward to! I even get to learn about … Photoshop. HAHAHAHA I’m aiming for high 90′s in that course! Wish me luck! lmao ….
