Colleges

Well I had my ‘drawing test’ for one the the programs that I applied to. It was tough! There were 6 pages, first two pages of questions and the rest was all drawing. You had to draw a story board of whatever you wanted, 2 designs for a company, logos (x4) and then there was a free page where you drew whatever you wanted. It was definitely NOT what I expected. I’ve applied to a similar program at the same college, and they didn’t make you do THAT much drawing. :( I like drawing on the computer than in hand. I’ve kinda lost my sketching ability. I should practice LOL

BUT other news, I got into my 1st choice!  So I didn’t really have to take that test, but I wanted to keep my options open and have different choices. My tuition for the 1st year is $5,000.. :( So I gotta start saving. I am kinda depending on getting a OSAP loan. I don’t think I will be able to save up that much for July/Aug? :/ *Keeps fingers crossed*

This weekend I’m going up to Kingston for Andrea’s Birthday!! I’m really looking forward to it! Anywhere is better than where I am.. HAHA I am hoping that we don’t have a snowstorm on the night I have to drive up. Last year that’s what happened, and I was so sad. I’m praying that something like that doesn’t happen.

thats crazy what they made you do. You should apply for osap cause anything they give you over $7000 you dont have to pay back.
Yea last year sucked. I spent like 2 hrs getting my hair done that day too :(
    See ya Friday!

I dunno where Drea got her information, but I dont think that’s true. I’ve been getting osap for about 3-4 years now and the only thing they don’t expect me to pay back is the millennium Bursery. Everything else has to be paid back. Definitely do your research, but its better then getting a bank loan, because of the whole no interest till after a year or 6 months (im not 100% sure) from when you graduate.

    actually it is true…
They can’t give u a debt load over $7000/ school year. I have recieved $21,000 but only need to pay back $14,000 … as long as you dont lie about your income and keep them updated about it. you will not have to pay back everything. Its called The Ontario Student Opportunity Grant http://accesswindow.osap.gov.on.ca/aw/ENG/not_secure/OSAP1014.htm
I wouldnt lie to my best friend

    Congrats on getting in!

My tuition was about the same per year. Totally blows :( And I hate that you can’t bring your own laptop.

Oh, and about OSAP, Drea is *kind of* right. I think it varies from person to person, but OSAP is only making me pay $7,000 per year, and I got almost $10,000 per year from them. But it was because on paper, my dad only made something like $6,000/year.
