Weekend

Monday, October 27th, 2008

So lots of plans changed with my birthday. We never ended up getting a hotel room, because that weekend was a blackout date. No discount could be used :/ I was kinda disappointed in that, but I dealt with it. It was me, Melissa and Kristina that went out. It was fun for the most part. We ended up taking the train down, and walking to Circa from Union Station. It was a 10-15min walk there, and we brought walking shoes too .. HAHA. Circa was not a disappointment, it never is.. for me at least. We stayed in the Blue Room (Skyy Lounge), only because I love the music in that room. The rest of the club is pretty amazing, but I’ve seen it all… and I got to choose since it was my bday. hehe.

On Sunday, my dad took me out for lunch at Fire and Ice. It was really yummy! You got to choose your own Vegetables, noodles and sauce. Then the chef stir-fries it for you with your choice of protein (meat). It was delicious!! I loved it. Afterwards we ate our traditional cake. It’s like a family tradition to have a birthday cake every year. But it really made me sad though that it was just my dad and I. I wish my mom was still here. When it came time to blow out my candles, it made me think of her. My wishes for the past 9 years have always been for my mom. Wish for her to get better, wish for her cancer not to come back, etc. This year I had to hold back my tears thinking about that moment. Especially thinking about last year, we had to celebrate it in the bedroom because at that point she could no longer walk down the stairs. :( The anniversary of her death is just a bit over a month away. I don’t know what is going to happen then..

Lately I’ve been really down, the past week, and present. A lot of shit has been going on that I’m having a hard time dealing with. Nothing that I wish to discuss in detail, but I don’t know what I’m going to do about it. I’m seriously considering therapy or something along the lines of that. I have been having really bad thoughts every night, while I’m working, and when I’m by myself. Every day it feels like it’s becoming harder and harder. I try to hid it from everyone but that isn’t going to help it. *sigh. I don’t know anymore …

Awake

Wednesday, October 22nd, 2008

Well, it is almost 5am right now, and surprisingly I am still awake. I have been catching up with a few people on msn and updating my site. I was getting sick of my old layout, so I used another template from the same designer. She does pretty cute Word Press layouts, check her out at the bottom of the page :) My next step would be to learn how to make my own, but I don’t have the patience or time anymore to learn something new like that. I would think it would take a bit of time to.

I’ve been thinking more about my birthday plans. B-day is THIS coming up Sunday (26th). My girl Melissa made an event on Facebook for this Saturday. We are planning on doing a downtown Toronto night, and stay at a hotel. Just so we don’t have to find someone to be the DD for the night. No one ever wants to do that. We’ve invited a small group of people to come, who have all surprisingly said yes :) But one thing that makes me sad is that none of my friends, who I have been friends with since HS, will not be there. It is another guys birthday on Friday and he already made plans before me. But that’s life. You can’t always get what you want. Also, the majority of them never showed up to my celebrations last year.. so why invite them this year? Ah well.. doesn’t matter. I will have my fun regardless.

I haven’t decided where to go yet. So suggestions are open. These are some of the nightclubs that are on my list.  Circa, Republik, Rockwood, Boulevard Room, Cantina Charlies… Last year I went to Inside, and that was okay. I would like to go somewhere I would be guaranteed to have fun! I am absolutely in love with the DJ in the Skyy lounge room at Circa. He plays a mash up of Hip-Hop, Reggae and mainstream music mixed in House. It’s original and every time I’ve been, I always go back to that room. The club is huge itself (53,000 square foot, 4 stories), so there is a lot to do. Only thing that is holding me back are the prices. First it’s $20 cover w/o guestlist, and $10 mixed drinks. Is kinda steep for my (poor) group of friends and guys aren’t so willing to waste money on you there. LOL

I really wish I could be in Las Vegas for my birthday. I’ve been to every club there and let me tell you. NONE are downers, like at all. It’s so much better to party there. Ladies are treated like queens, the way it should be! :D   Oh well, maybe for next years birthday! :P

Still here

Sorry I haven’t gotten around to updating this. I wanted to do a big update with pictures and everything but I just haven’t got around to doing it. So sorry!

Things have been okay I guess. Been working lots mostly and not going out as much. Since school has started up, everyone has dropped off the face of the earth. All the summer hotspots aren’t hot anymore, people have vanished. Everyone isn’t up for going out anymore. Now that the cold weather has hit, it’s worse. :( It makes me sad.

One thing that I am looking forward to is my birthday next weekend!!! :D I’m going downtown and staying in a hotel etc. Should be fun times. Last year we did the same kind of thing, but with more. Didn’t turn out quite how I would’ve wanted it to. This year is more low key, more intimate ;) lmao… Haven’t decided where to go yet. Maybe Circa (my fave) or Republik.. who knows. Or somewhere where we can get cheap bottle service. That always makes the night good :D :/

Oh, one interesting thing that has happened to me…. A few weeks ago I was stopped by the police. I wasn’t in my town or anywhere I knew.. and was lost trying to find my friends house, took a wrong turn, made a U turn… and was stopped. This was up in Scugog (Durham Region still). I told the guy I was trying to find my friends house and was lost. The guy told me there was suspicious actions going around and a neighbour called the police saying there was someone wondering around their property. I told them I had no idea what they were talking about and didn’t know anything. AND since I forgot the address, the guy didn’t believe anything I told him, he then went to the other side of the car, the window was open, and he told me to find the insurance, papers etc.. and he told me to open the door (passenger side). I then said to him (knowing my rights), “aren’t you not allowed to do that”  “you’re not allowed to do that without a warrant/court order” (something along those lines).. he then got really pissed at me, demanded me to get out of the car and told me I was under arrest. He basically shoved me out of the car, started feeling me up, innappropriately, asking if I was carrying any weapons.. it was obvious I was not.. then he put me in the back of the SUV cruiser. FOR 2 HOURS…. It was such a traumatizing experience. More back up came, they all harassed me saying I was trafficking drugs, and how much of a criminal I am, etc.. FYI: I have NOTHING on my record, I am clean, I have never done anything in my life to EVER be in trouble with the law. I’ve never even gotten a speeding ticket or anything etc.. This was such bullshit. They got a hold of my friend that I was looking for, he was just down the road at a house.. I missed it.. Even when he showed up, they still kept me for longer…. Ugh

I’ve heard SO many stories about the Durham Regional police, and never really believed that they were bad or anything, but this has really opened up my eyes. This could happen to anyone. Especially the innocent, maybe even more. They should fucking grow some brains and catch REAL criminals. It’s no excuse to do this to an innocent bystander who was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Such stupidity. I am not impressed. Why am I wasting my tax dollars on this?

/END rant..

PS: From that night I was under “arrest”…..I managed to get out of the handcuffs from behind me. I had the biggest itch and just HAD to scratch it.. I have no idea how I got my hands out of it.. but that was the only funny part of the night lol
